The Christmas Collection is HERE!

Happy November, and for some of you, happy Christmas Season!

Christmas is the most wonderful time of year in my opinion; the music, the hymns at church, the decorations, the smells, the extra time with friends and family, the sweaters and fuzzy socks…. all of it.

This year I’m sharing a story behind each design in my collection, so I hope you’ll enjoy learning a little more about each card design, and why I love them so much. And knowing me, there will be a second phase of card designs in maybe two weeks, because I can’t ever cap a project and call it finished. Lucky you!

Cards

My (great) Uncle Eugene was a big car guy, and collected the most amazing little vintage cars. In fact, all of the men in my family get really excited about cool old trucks and vintage cars. This one is for you guys!

This replaces the green truck card from last year, which was a HUGE hit! Mt style has changed, and I needed a little more red in my collection. This truck is also featured on a small batch of special throw pillow covers!

We’re the people that have our tree up the day before Thanksgiving, but only with the twinkly gold lights on them. It has to “fluff” and air out before we can add the ornaments, ya know? And from that point on, until after NYE, that’s the source of light in the family room. It’s my favorite place in the whole house. These even have a special touch of metallic gold dots!

We have wreaths EVERYWHERE. A giant one over the mantel, on every door and window, above my bed, and now this year on the door at mom’s sweet little bookstore! This row of wreaths is also on fabric this year.

Both of my parents remember these giant, bold, retro colored lights from their childhood, so this card is a favorite that has been around since MWD’s first Christmas in 2018. We keep this tradition going in my house by using this on a smaller, squattier tree upstairs that hold all of our crazy homemade ornaments, including a whole series of glitter food ornaments that mom has found over the years (my favorite is a sparkly cupcake).

All the women in my family (both the Williams and Andrews/Thomas side) appreciate a good bow, and they all taught me how to tie a good one at a young age. And how to crease the corners of the wrapping paper for the sharpest edges (actually dad taught me that).

Mom makes an AMAZING hot chocolate mix every year, which I stole to sprinkle around the card for this picture. It was always the perfect gift for teachers, with a cute little bag of marshmallows and a candy cane tied to it. We’re all about that presentation over here… I learned that at a young age.

Thanks Mom! Don’t worry, I put it back in the pantry.

My mom is the garland queen- she makes the most amazing swags to decorate our mailbox, and comes up with gorgeous table and mantel décor. And she just loves pinecones… I had to mix in all the favorite natural Christmas décor details. This is another print available on fabric!

Woohoo! We have smaller card packs this year! This pack will feature six A2 sized cards (all designs except the hot chocolate are included) and six envelopes (two red, two green, and two brown). They come tucked into a cute little brown box, which is 100% recyclable once you’ve mailed out all of the cards to your people.

There’s Fabric, Too!

Pillows! This year I’ve created 16x16 pillow covers with a clean envelope back in three Christmas designs; Holly and Greenery (red backing), Rows of Wreaths (green backing), and the Little Red Tree Truck (neutral linen backing). The covers fold up nicely and ship so much easier, so they can get to your homes fast! I’ll have a handful of pillows with the form inserts at Downtown Books in Lexington and at my booths.

I don’t know about y’all, but I love a decorative towel. These are handmade by yours truly from small-batch linen-cotton canvas, and the more you use them and wash them, the softer they get! They measure out to be 18x27, and fit perfectly in a basket or over the oven handle.

A a few little extras…

Gift tags! The perfect final touch.

Custom Ornaments are in the shop! Choose your background color and lettering for the perfect commemorative gift.

Thank you for supporting my work, sharing your favorites, and shopping small this year!

Hope you feeling just a little more merry, and that one of my designs reminds you of why you love the Christmas season.
