Each of the commission types you see below stems from a request from a friend. That’s been a trend in my work- starting something new because someone came to me with an idea. Bouquet’s are popular with brides as a unique way to capture their wedding florals. Watercolor houses are often gifted after moves, new purchases, or to those that are especially in love their homes. Views are common with travelers, or families with strong ties to a landscape full of memories. Painting is obviously my favorite part of these projects, but hearing your stories is a close second.

This is where I got my start.

Commission, specifically pet portraits, were the first offering in my Etsy shop to really take off. The idea came from a dear friend who requested a painting of her childhood pup, Ollie, in as many colors as I could incorporate. After sharing it on my Instagram, the requests started coming in, and suddenly I had a little business.

My style has changed (and improved) quite a bit since those early days, but my love of sentimental commissions is just as strong.

  • To maintain flexibility as I work, I paint from reference photos provided by each client.

  • Yes! If you have a specific size in mind, reach out to me on the contact page so we can chat about special prices.

  • Yes! Prints of your sentimental painting are a great gift. If this is something you’re interested in, mention it in your email when you send along photos. I so scan all final paintings, so you can also request these further down the road.

    Pricing matches that of the prints in the online shop.

  • No- your commissioned art cannot be reproduced without written permission from me. This is standard… unless the rights are sold, given, or licensed, even though you own the original painting, the intellectual property still belongs to the artist. If you do want to use your painting on merchandise for a business or organization, we can absolutely make this happen! I can even help you design the merch.

  • Ohhhhhhh yes. SO many fun options! Mugs, throw pillows, ornaments, tote bags, magnets, stationery, sweatshirts…. you name it. Ask about these add-ons when you email reference photos.
